Definition

Cindimba expresses the idea of abundance after a good harvest. There is relief from hunger! Joyful feasting & dancing, giving of first fruits and generosity towards others announce a season of prosperity. Cindimba is a a word from the Yao* language.

We do not own the idea- but seek to promote the idea and the values that produce it so that it can become a norm and not the exception. Cindimba is merely our way of describing the life that is achieved when justice, mercy and love become dominant principles. We found that this Yao word expresses it quite well.

Location

Cindimba Dairy Farm: ‘Ditaka Dya Cindimba’ (land of abundance), is located on the edge of Lichinga city next to Mini-Caborah lake. We are next door to Universidade Pedagogica (Teachers University). Lichinga is the capital of the Niassa Province in Northern Mozambique. Niassa borders on lake Malawi in the West and Tanzania to the North.

Interesting fact: Niassa is more than 3 times the size of The Netherlands, and Mozambique is the size of California.
